Over many years, Peter has been asked when he will be retiring, and the answer was generally about when he turned 70’ish. On our last newsletter, he was introducing me, Novita Halim as his new business partner back in June 2019. Moving forward 3 years, he is now officially retired as of 30 June 2022, and I am sure that he will enjoy his retirement days doing things he likes.
My role in the practice does not change. I am still managing the day-to-day operation of the practice and attend to all clients’ requirements and on top of these roles, I will also take over Peter’s role on providing advice, working on special projects and other ad-hoc tax issues and Self-managed superannuation fund.
Therefore, with the additional roles that I have taken over from Peter, I am introducing a new partner into the practice, Rebecca Chan. She will be helping me to manage the practice’s day-to-day operation and attend to clients’ requirement. Some of you probably have met her or had dealings with her in preparing your work in the last 12 months. So, I am sure that you will welcome her to The White Office Team.
Rebecca Chan is a CPA and a registered SMSF Auditor with ASIC. With her expertise in Audit, our firm can expand our services to Audit. The types of Audits we are offering are Trust Accounts audit for Lawyers and Real Estate Agents, Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Audit, Small Non-Profit Organisation Audit and QBCC Independent Review Reporting.
The practice will still be trading as The White Office Pty Ltd and will be continuing using this name in the future. We are also still registered Tax Agent, ASIC Agent and affiliations with the Institute of Public Accountants and CPA Australia.
Rebecca Chan and I have worked in Accounting, Taxation and Audit areas in Brisbane for more than 20 years. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the advice and assistance you need to manage your business and taxation matters.
Also, I just want to give you a head’s up that our team consist of two Rebeccas now, Rebecca White and Rebecca Chan.
Regards,
Novita Halim
